The demon of chains, nicknamed Prometheus by Lennard, is a beast that no man alive could control alone. It's skin and fur color was crimson red, chains sticking out of it's body from it's back and the demonic aura surrounding it. Many feared that beast and they thought it was the devil's spawn, although it never hurt a soul.

But, with an unfortunate accident, it's soul essence was craved into a stone and so it remained in that stone for years and years, acquiring a crystal like appearence to all who saw it. The one who possess this stone is Lennard and he has an interesting ability to read objects, like books or scroll, just by touching them. Currently, he is traveling through Domus, in search of a unique spell that can free souls from objects with the capacity to capture souls. And so the story continues from where Lennard left off...

(Sucky story up here, I know. Whatever, I was bored! ._.)
-------------------------------------------------------------

Lennard was walking through the bushes and trees, trying to find a path leading to a city or a village. "This forest is confusing...I might get lost here if I'm not careful...", he said and kept walking. He continued to wander around...until he stopped, looking at something interesting. '...Is that a cave?', he thought. There was a strange aura coming from the entrance. The stone glowed inside Lennard's robe. He thought for a while and decided to enter the cave. He felt like he had to enter it...for Prometheus sake.

In the mouth of a cave stood a female fox. She wore a long green robe that fell down past her feet. It had no sleeves, but on her arms there were two blood red roses with thorny vines. Around her waist she wore a chain belt with a small brass horned skull with a keyhole on the forehead. Her hair was long and black and put up in a spikey pony tail. She stood with her eyes closed muttering to herself "He is near. Closer now.". Her tail twitched behind her.

The black figure that had stalked its prey pursued it, taking it’s time, like a cat with a mouse. Only that this cat was a black wolf and he was dressed in a brown cloak covering a black robe. The figure was enjoying the way that this fur unknowingly ran, pushed onwards by the mere influence created by the wolf’s unknown presence. He however was tiring of this tracking, it had gone on long enough, now was the time to end this and take that stone from the young magician.

Suddenly he stilled himself when he saw that the magician was walking towards a cave, not far from the magician himself, but still quite a distance from the figure that watched. He too sensed, or in his case rather smelt the scent of powerful magic, but it did not perturb the figure, in fact it made him run his tongue over his white teeth, a slightly disturbing act making it look like he was about to wolf down a meal rather than come face to face with a bearer of something of immense importance to him. His tail twitched in excitement, and his ears were perked alertly.

He walked along the trees, staying in the shadows, he would only move once he saw who exactly was in the cave entrance. He did however make a gesture, and in the afternoon sunlight a shadow leapt silently and unseen to the cave entrance, to be his witness of the meeting of this magician and whatever else was there.

Lennard knew there was someone...or something after him. It seemed more powerful than anything he had ever met, maybe stronger than Prometheus. If he would fight this thing he would need to be prepared...but his thoughts where interrupted by a vixen that sat on the mouth of the cave. '...I don't sense anything wrong with her...', he approached the vixen and greeted her, "Hello, who are you?", he said, keeping an eye on his back to be careful.

She tilted her head up toward the voice. "I am Nightmare." she whispered. In one swift movement she was up on her feet and mumbling again. She opened her eyes and said "He is here. Have you brought the key?" She grabbed his hand pulled him into the cave. A small fire lit up the cave, and the paintings on there walls. Scenes depicted demons in fights with furs and furs dying from hordes demons. But in the far end of the cave was a painting of Promethus and Lennard.

The figure stepped closer to the cave, knowing that there was another fur in the cave, he couldn’t tell if she was powerful from the scent, he’d have to get even closer, the sent was mixed up with a bunch of other strange ones, old ones, new ones. The wolf couldn’t tell, only that he knew that he could only find out properly by either facing them head on, or by observing for longer. He was impatient though and continued observation was getting more difficult. However he delayed out of sight beside the cave entrance as a shadow flitted back to pass on information about what was inside the cave. The figure was interested in this, and it made him pause for even longer wanting to find out fully what was there.

His shadow servant slipped back into the cave to watch. The figure wanted to know what was so important all of a sudden about this magician and his pathetic imitation around his neck. It was all so pathetic, that thing didn’t have true power, it didn’t have anything compared to what it could lead him to.

Lennard walked through the corridors with the vixen, looking at the paintings and examining each of them with his eyes. "....This is...familiar...", he said. The feeling was growing fast as they passed by the paintings, then Lennard noticed the last painting at the end of the cave.

It showed Lennard floating on a black field...the sky was crimson red...and he had his eyes closed... his pose was like a cross, arms stretched horizontally, legs joined vertically... on his chest was a shining open book...and finally, Prometheus's avatar could be seen hovering above Lennard.

"!....What is this?!", he said. He felt something move inside his robe, it was the stone. It shined brighter than before and it floated right in front of the painting. Suddenly, chains slowly rose from the ground, each with a tiny blade on their end. They got close to the wall behind the painting and began to draw lines towards the painting, usually ripping it up. The line seemed to follow some kind of pattern...like a magic circle. When the chains finished, the lines on the wall shined and another image appeared before their eyes.

"...A portal...to the netherworld?"

Yes. A portal was made and it seemed to channel to a dusty field, with a crimson sky. The stone entered the portal and a silhouette appeared on the other side of the portal. "....come, enter my realm...", a voice that came from the other side said. Lennard looked at Nightmare and asked, "...Are you going in?".

(THAT WAS HUGE! *head-desk* ...sorry, too much caffeine.)

The figure smelt the change, it smelt like brimstone. His tail twitched and even before the shadow returned to make its report he was hurrying into the cave after the magician. He threw caution and patience to the wind, he could not afford to let them escape, if they did his search would take longer. And time was against him in many ways, he had this goal plus a mission and revenge to complete. But getting that stone was necessary.

He walked quickly till he came into the cave behind the two furs, and saw the gate. It was unimpressive to him, he’d seen arcane rituals older and more impressive than this, what did worry him was the fact that should all of them cross the threshold then either the gate would close or he would be forced to fight a demon on his own terms, something that the black wolf knew would be troublesome, though not insurmountable.

Before he began to speak he clapped slowly, “Well done you pathetic pair of fools” he growled as he continued to walk closer glaring at each of the two figures. “Well done indeed” The black wolf knew what the portal was, knew it’s limitations, and in fact understood that it was a netherworld of sorts, that it was but one of many, and not the only one.
“You’ve opened a portal to another realm by accident, a demonic one at that, tut tut, I have ‘friends’ who would frown on that greatly.”

Nightmares turned and faced the new fur. She nodded "Oh, but it was not on accident, no no no." she said and laughed slightly. "And you did a bad thing by entering here, a bad bad thing. Your now in my playing field." she said and quickly turned to Lennard "I'm not going in, its coming out to me." she said. She turned back to the portal and placed a paw on it, the roses turned bright blue and the vines grew out incasing the floor and walls in bright blue roses. "Welcome to my haven" she laughed out.

(Um, I'm not sure of this post...if I got something wrong, warn me.)

Lennard turned to the new fur that entered the cave. "You don't know what this demon can do...", he said and turned to Nightmare, whispering, "Okay...I'll be right back, I think...", then he jumped in the portal.

After arriving on the other side, Lennard felt a strong wind passing by...he was inside a tornado. "Whoa...", he was impressed. This really is a different world... but then the tornado stopped. Lennard looked at the center of the dusty field, his stone was floating mid-air. "Prometheus...", he said. Suddenly, the stone shined brighter and brighter, the dust starting to envolve around it faster and faster. Then all the dust was launched away...and a man slowly descended onto the ground. "...this is not my true form...but it is acceptable, for now...

Prometheus was wearing a silk loincloth, some long lines of cloth drooped on the sides of his leg and a chain collar with a skull, and it had a keyhole on the forehead...like that one Nightmare was using. He seemed to be a bunny/wolf hybrid, with some demonic writings scattered on his body. His crimson red fur was outlined by his dark aura and there was a faint image of a wolf with long ears that came from Prometheus.

Lennard quietly approached him, confident that Prometheus wouldn't hurt his keeper. "So...that's your appearence...come on, let's go to my world", he said, grabbing Prometheus hand, but he didn't move and interrupted Lennard, "My mortal form is banished from that world. This crystal is what makes my existance on the mortal world. If I go in there without being in crystal form, I will turn into a pile of dust...", he said with his low-pitched voice. "This man that you met just now is after my soul...he wants to use it for something, though that is beyond my knowledge", He said and started hovering in the air.

"Lennard...you bear something that other furs wouldn't acquire so easily...your power to read objects just by touching them is a great gift. When you first met me, in that cave way back in the Artic Islands, you knew what was inside my seal...this power I have was not meant to destroy, rather it would be used to 'capture' souls. And it was granted to you, in my name. With this power, you wouldn't need to search for more crystals...rather, you yourself would create them. But it seemed that it was too dangerous for you to use and it would bring your death if you constantly fused with me. That's why I ask you to use me whenever possible...because that is all a lie...

Lennard was listening to Prometheus and thinking at the same time. 'is he reffering to his soul pact with mine?...'

Nightmare laughed and watched as the vines started to fill up the cave. She turned toward the portal and stepped through. The vines plugged up the portal making it inacasable, but with enough work they could be cut through. She stepped in beside Lennard and smiled apon seeing Promethus. "Ahh Promethus, my friend, how good it is to see you after so many years." She said and looked back at the portal then at the roses at her wrists, they seemed to glow more brightly, and in a rainbow of colors too.

The wolf looked at the vines, a faintly amused expression on his face. Whoever said he had to go directly and physically through them? He had other methods to get into that realm, quite simple ones too at that. He lifted a paw to his mouth and cough, retching in fact, until he closed his paw and pulled it away, holding a slivery mist in and around it. A Feilan’s soul that he had claimed and stored inside of himself. A source of primal power, alone a powerful source of fuel if used correctly, but when destroyed completely interesting things could happen.

Suddenly power poured into it, it turned from a silvery colour to a bronze, a banshee like wail echoed in the cave as the wolf grabbed some of the mist with his other paw, and while the magic was destroying it, he tore at it. The pitch of the wail increased painfully. Suddenly the cave shook, and as the soul was stretched and torn so too did a gate appear in front of the black wolf. A gate to the same plane as the others had travelled to. The shaking ceased as the gate floated there, a temporary affair, but useful nevertheless.

He smirked, one of the few positives of residing in a prison like that netherworld for four hundred years was that one invariably knew how to get in and out if they had the right resources. If they didn’t then there was no way to do it. Fortunately this wolf knew what he was doing. Or at least he believed that he did with such conviction that he did that it didn’t matter. He stepped through behind Prometheus.
“Nice little trick with the vines back there, almost would have worked if I’d been nearly anyone else, now play nice and hand the demon over. Or I’ll have to kill you both and take him forcibly. I would enjoy the later more, but honestly don’t have time for it.”

"Ah, Nightmare. It's good to see you again too, my friend. I-", Prometheus was interrupted by someone going behind him. Lennard was scared and almost fell, "!...How d-did he?!..", he said shakingly. "...I do believe we have an intruder. Doesn't matter...I'll send you back from where you came, devil.", Prometheus said. Chain walls covered Lennard and Nightmare, then they got inside the ground and the pair disappeared. 'They are safe now...good', he thought.

The tornado seemed to twirl faster and faster, more violently. Prometheus descended on the ground and assumed a demented position...as if he was a wolf preparing to attack it's prey. "I'll make sure you suffer...", he said. Chains popped up next to Prometheus...he was ready to attack.

Nightmare stood up and looked around widly in the dark. They roses shone more violently then ever, the vines tightened and the thorns dug into her fur. She winced in pain and said "I know I know the key its near, but can I figure out where I am first?" she started talking to the roses. They dug in faster and harder. She cried out in pain and fell to her knees.

“Please, I doubt you could make me suffer, I feel no pain anymore, I am Amelangrien, and I am beyond good and evil” The figure smiled, however he was not beyond good and evil, as some had learnt, he was just evil. He cocked his head to the side as he stood there calmly, not even changing position to a more combat ready one, instead lifting an arm up palm upturned. Beneath him shadows roiled ready to begin the battle. “But let us see how well you do you ‘blood of the divine’” He threw his other arm out and his own shadow tendrils shot straight at Prometheus as he stepped towards his foe slowly, his other paw dancing in the air in front of him, tracing intricate symbols in the air, almost absentmindedly. Amelangrien could not just bind this demon’s soul by simple force of will like he would a Feilan’s, he would need to complete a spell, a spell that he knew well, for it was at one time the only way for him to chain a soul to him.
