Coat of Arms Goes Here

Hierarchy Role-playing Status: Controlled by Uhlsaun Torrahel (Queen Filarra Alean'th )

A nation that rivals Edwin in power, ruled by the Mustelid. The current system of governement is Feudalist/Constitutional Monarchy, with Duchies ruled over by Dukes, which elect the monarch, usually one of the Dukes. The military is third largest in number, and rivals Edwin's fighting effectiveness. It consists of the Gawainian Army. It is geographically one of the largest countries of Feila. This territory is similar to Earth's Holy Roman Empire of the Germanic countries during the early middle ages.

Following this paragraph are charted areas of Gawain. While you can do whatever you please in your role-playing, create and destroy any area that you wish, this information will not reflect on the chart.

The Gawain Area Chart

Bayreuth -- Most heavily built up and fortified town, to prevent Edwinish invasion. Capital of Gawain, home of the Gawainian Royalty.

Nördlingen -- Second line of defense from an Edwinish invasion, and home of some of the most elaborate architecture in cathedrals and castles that one may find in Feila. Industrial capital in more recent times.

Anshach -- One of few major coastal towns in Gawain. Main export and import port from Domus, or what cannot pass by the Edwinish border on foot.

Wetxlar -- Prosperous, sprawling town on the banks of the long Elbe River.

Kassel -- Well fortified township of the Duchy of Hesse, upon the Oden River.

Wizmar -- Home of the odd and mystical. Difficult to travel to, due to the Dresden Mountain range.

Brixen -- Gawain's second most fortified town after Bayreuth. Situated along the serene Danaebe River, still in comparison to the fast flowing Elbe River.

Dausenau -- Placed on a hill surrounded by Feila's largest Floodplain, occasionally covered by the water of the torrential, overflowing Elbe River during heavy rain. Not terribly fortified, seeing as it is naturally well defended.

Berchtesgaden -- Large fishing town that extends into the calm Drave River by means of stilted houses.

And finally, not a large town, but this deserves special mention:

DoppelKappelle -- A conglomeration of monasteries, nunneries and one of the largest Cathedrals in the world, Cathedral St Lorenz-Kirche. A wholly religious town that even in the modern age rejects technology and distrusts outsiders. Situated by a large lake formed by the Danaebe River as it heads South.

Widow's Lament -- The northern-most point of Gawain's territory. It is a desolate area with shoals of pointed rocks along the bleak coast. Many a ship has sunk here when storms from the north have driven them into the treacherous waters.
