Hey there, and welcome to Feila, a medieval world inhabited by furries. What's a furry, you may ask? A furry is a sentient animal that walks, talks, and lives much like us humans do. In other words, anthropomorphic animals.

While Feila is primarily a medieval role-playing forum, there are also other ages available for role-playing. For more information on role-playing in other time periods, see the Dimensional Break.

All about character creation:

http://feila.s2.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?p=128#128

We are a play-by-post role-playing forum, which means that users post dialogue and actions for characters that they create, in order to start or continue a role-playing thread. A role-play is a type of interactive story, where you and others join together on all kinds of adventures with characters that can be any way that you want them to be. The theme of this role-playing forum is anthropomorphic animals, also known as furries, so only furries may be role-played here. Other than that, there are no restrictions. Jump into a role-play and get started. There's NO need for characters to be pre-approved.

Rules of the Forum

  • No sexually explicit images or text. Hinting of sexual activity and very mild lewdness is allowed, but it cannot go beyond that. In other words, keep any kind of sexual activity to a PG-13 level.

  • Cursing is allowed, just don't overdo it, as it makes a post look cluttersome if every other word is a curse. However, this does not mean that you can cuss out people in an attempt to be disrespectful. While in character, cursing in general is fine, but out of character cursing should be done without any hostility towards another user.

  • Respect and tolerate other users and differing opinions, and do not insult another person for any reason that is intended to harm. We don't care if you just play around (For example, if you play insult a friend) as long as you're not actually offending anyone.

  • Debates are fine, just don't start any all out flame wars.

  • Do not post any over-sized content that would horizontally stretch the page. While screen resolutions vary, this rule is based on a 1024x768 screen resolution.

  • Avatar size cannot exceed 150x150 pixels. If an avatar is larger than these dimensions, it will be removed without prior notice.

  • No extremely lengthy or load heavy signatures. Keep signatures concise, and avoid large and heavy images.

  • Advertisements should be posted in the Links thread and nowhere else. Only active members with at least 100 posts may advertise their personal websites. Anyone attempting to advertise without meeting these requirements will have their advertisement removed.

  • All ROLE-PLAYING posts must contain NO LESS than five good sentences. This rule does NOT apply to NON-ROLE-PLAYING posts.

  • When posting OUT-OF-CHARACTER (OOC), do not post one word replies or a reply that contains only an emoticon(s). We are not asking that every OOC post contain a paragraph, but we are asking that every OOC post contain at least one good sentence. The only exception to this rule is when participating in a forum game or similar event.

  • It is expected that ALL text (Role-playing and otherwise) be checked for basic spelling and grammar errors. Spell checking can be done by copying the text and pasting it into an online spell checker such as the Orangoo Spell Checker. Grammar checking should be done by one's own eyes, as one's own judgment of grammar is the most reliable. If you have FireFox set as your internet browser, right clicking any text field will allow you to turn on its built-in spell checker. When in FireFox's spell check mode, right click any text that is underlined in red to receive a list of spelling suggestions. Clicking one of these suggestions will switch the potentially misspelled word for the suggested spelling.

  • Do not post only OOC comments when role-playing. If you would like to chat while you are role-playing, that's fine, but role-play in the same post. We have threads specifically for off-topic discussion, such as the Prowl Space. For discussion specifically pertaining to role-playing, you can always use the General Role-playing Discussion thread or create a role-play discussion topic in the Role-playing Discussion sub-forum. There's also the private message system.

  • Do not create multiple usernames for separate characters. One username is sufficient for all of your characters, and having more than one username creates confusion among the userbase. In the case that you have forgotten your username or are unable to retrieve your password, you may create a new account.

  • Do not post in colors when role-playing, though, colors in OOC threads are perfectly alright. This is because the forum has templates of differing color schemes (A color may appear clear on one template, but be unreadable on the other) and users with eyesight difficulties who have trouble viewing certain colors.

  • Please try to keep topics fairly on topic, and off-topic conversation to the Prowl Space.

  • If you post a piece of work that you yourself did not create, then you must make sure to accredit the rightful creator. It is recommended that you first obtain permission from the rightful creator before posting any works by persons other than yourself. The rightful creator always has the final say, and if they request that their work is removed from this forum, then the staff will ensure that it is removed.

  • Last and certainly least, no double posting of any kind except in forums where the act is explicitly allowed, such as the Entrance Hall for posting new characters and the Gallery for posting new artwork or literature. If there is an exception then it will be listed in the FAQ of a forum if a FAQ is available.

That's it, those are the rules. We're pretty laid back here, so I wouldn't worry yourself too much over rule-breaking.
