Gemini nodded and smiled wiping her eyes. Veruka looked up and whispered "Tao. Tao did this Tao can undo it." She wiped her eyes and stopped crying. Gemini nodded in agreement. "Tao. Is going to die." she bleated.

"I'm gonna take a wild guess and say that this Tao character is back at the arena?" Padric said. He didn't really like the idea of going back there, but it seemed like the best option at the moment.
"Well, we can take care of that tomorrow." he said, standing up. "tonight you two should enjoy your freedom." He picked up his pack and crossed the hall to his own room. "Why don't you go get something to eat down in the dining room? This place has an amazing shepherd's pie." Opening his pack he began spreading the contents out on his bed. "I'll join you two in a bit."

Gemini bleated happily "Food food food!" Gemini jumped up off the bed and ran out of the room. She skipped down the hall to the dinning room. Veruka stood up slowly and streched. "Im gonna run out into town quick and get me a new outfit. `Cause leather starts to hurt after awhile." she said and empitied the bags of coins into one big bag which she tied to her belt. She walked down the hall and out side quietly.

It took a little while, but after some work Padric had everything organized. After packing everything carefully into the top drawer of the room's dresser, he went over to look out the window. Opening it he took a breath of the fresh outside air, examining the surroundings. Satisfied with his room, he went downstairs to the dining room.
Sitting across from Gemini, he ordered the aforementioned pie.
"So... sorry about bringing you two here, I didn't realize it'd set you off like that."

Gemini smiled "Its ok. You couldnt tell what was going to happen." she bleated and took a bite of her meal. She quickly finished off her plate and ordered another. "Im already used to it. By the way where did Veruka go?" she asked as she got her next plate.

"She said something about going out to get new clothing." Padric replied, taking a bite of his food. He ate lightly, a common habit for him; eating too much could sometimes slow a person down. Still it was good food, and clearly the best that Gemini had had in a while, judging by the way she practically attacked it.

"Do you think I should have let her go by herself?" Padric asked. He wasn't sure whether or not to be worried for Veruka; she certainly seemed capable of handling herself, but the gods only knew what kind of trouble she might be capable of getting into.

"Umm..." Padric blushed a little bit and looked around. He was terrible with things like this.
"I'm not really a good person to ask about that kind of thing." Whenever he got new clothes, they were selected for utility. Fashion was something that he payed little or no attention to.

She laughed and shook her head. "Thats how men fail. They dont think fashion is important." she bleated and laughed "But you..you dont fail." She stood up and streched. "You done?" she asked and turned to him.

Padric nodded, taking a last bite of his meal. After digging in his pocket he pulled out a small coin as a tip for the waitress. Meals were included with the price of a night's stay, but he still liked to leave a tip for the service.

"I'm ready when you are." He said, standing up. "Lead the way."

Gemini nodded and walked toward the front door of the inn. She pushed it open and walked out. It took a good thirty minutes to get to the clothier. She pushed open the door and walked in, a soft smell of lavander hit her nose. Verukas ears poked up above the rows of shirts and dresses. Gemini walked over toward Veruka. When she got to the rows only her horns were visable.

Padric sneezed upon entering the shop. He wasn't allergic to lavender, but it was very strong. He was glad to see Veruka was here too; he was still a little concerned about finding her later on.
Rather than join them in the maze like rows of clothing he had a seat in a bench near the front door. Relaxing in his seat he soon began to doze a little bit; with all the racks of clothing muting the noise from outside on the streets it felt a little bit peaceful in here.

Gemini and Veruka had wandered into the fitting rooms by now. Gemini was the first out wearing a long ruffly brown dress with a pair of dark brown pants under them. Veruka came out next wearing a black lace shirt that cut out half way down her stomach and a short red skirt. They wandered over to Padric and gently poked him awake "Hey how do we look?" They both said.

Padri jumped a little when he awoke, trying to remember where he was. Shaking his head a little bit to clear the last vestiges of sleep away, he took a look at the girls.
"Umm... Wow.' He was impressed; these clothes looked much better than their previous attire.
"You look good." He said with a smile.

Gemini smiled and pulled him up off the bench. "You need clothes now." she bleated and started to pull him toward the clothes rack. Veruka laughed and walked up to the counter and payed for her and Geminis clothes. She turned back and walked to Gemini and helped her look for new clothes for Padric.
